Who we are and what we do

A brief history
Hala Enterprises was established in 1972 and started exports to Europe and Japan in the late 1970s.
Initially the company started with specialized towel exports to Japan and later ventured into the German market through small buying cooperatives. By the 1980s it had established buyers and brands with whom it was collaborating within the German and Italian markets. During this period the company funded and sponsored the establishment of an Associated Concern in the Edible Oil market, which helped diversify its investment portfolio.
By the 1990s and early 2000s Hala had grown significantly and was one of the leading towel exporters from Pakistan. The markets it supplied to covered Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Canada and the USA.
Hala is a Listed company on the Pakistan Stock Exchange and has an established worldwide customer base. It strives to be a sustainable, efficient and socially responsible organization with a special focus on flexibility, product quality and care of service.

Transitioning from the Cold War Era to the
New World Order
The Setup
The company is completely vertically integrated from the input of Yarn as the raw material. Sourcing of yarn is done through a careful selection process, keeping in mind wash testing results along with performance parameters post laundering.
In terms of yarn preparation, we have our own Winding, Doubling and Yarn Dyeing facilities. Thereafter we have our in-house yarn preparation department which ensures the correct warping methods or sizing recipes according to the specific count and quality.
Our Weaving Department has all new equipment installed in 2017, 2020 and 2025. We have a range of 12 CNC Shuttle-less technology Rapier Dobby machines which are capable of handling smaller MOQs and weaving runs, while also being extremely versatile with their product range. These are complimented with 4 CNC fully electronic controlled Jacquard machines with 2688 Hooks, also functioning with Rapier technology for flexibility and versatility. To support larger volumes and bulk manufacturing we also have an installed capacity of 5 Air-Jet machines. These range from 2.6 meters to 3.0 meters in Reed-width – and are a mix of Jumbo Jacquards ranging from 6144 to 2688 hooks, as well as Staubli Dobby models. In total we have an installed in-house weaving capacity which can reach 80,000 KGs or 175,000 pounds per month.
In our finishing department we have Shearing or Velouring facilities provided by Xetma Vollenweider for value addition and product diversification. Our Dye House is equipped with Jiggers, Soft-flows from Fongs and Brazzoli, Winches and Tumble Drying from Thies. Our stitching department mainly consists of Japanese Juki machines which provide reliability and efficiency. Our Packaging and Quality Inspection Hall boasts an area of 6,500 square feet which provides us ample space for a thorough quality control and to maintain each individual orders integrity by ensuring separation during the packing phase.
We have an installed Solar Capacity of 450 Kilo Watts which enables us to ensure that our day-time operations incur minimal electric costs, while providing us with cleaner and greener energy. In the coming years we plan to expand our dependency on Solar power, in order to become more sustainable and cost effective. In addition, our dependency on natural gas or LNG/LPG remains only to the extent of our tumble drying procedure and we have pivoted towards the use of Agri-waste as a fuel for our Thermal energy requirements. This process helps us in being able to control our own fuel requirements by utilizing seasonally available agricultural waste from our surroundings and ensuring that emissions are controlled through a process of wet scrubbing. We are currently working towards further compliance through regenerating energy through drain water, reducing water consumption and waste water treatment solutions.
